Summer is almost here which means: less clothes and more skinnn 👙

We at Frank and Olive want to begin by stating that we believe body hair is a natural part of your anatomy and there is no shame in choosing to let it grow.

That being said,

if you do choose to go hairless this summer, below we’ve provided a guide with everything you need to know to incorporate Waxing into your Summer Self-Care Routine!!

  1. Pre-Wax Prep

  • Allow your body hair to grow a minimum of  3-4 weeks. It usually comes out to be a ¼ to ½ an inch, the length of a grain of rice
  • Exfoliate the day before
  • DO NOT apply lotion the day of

*We will NOT wax sunburnt skin or any recent scarring because the wax could tear your altered skin off. Wait till your skin is completely healed before coming in for your appointment.

If this is the case for you, be sure to cancel 24 hours before your appointment to receive a full refund – read our Studio Cancelation Policy

  1. Post-Wax Care

      Directly After
  • For 24 Hours No: exercise, sweating, exfoliation, excessive friction, sex, swimming, saunas, hot tubs, perfumed lotions.

Participating in any of these practices can lead to breakouts, ingrown hairs, or infections due to bacteria entering into skin through the open pores. Waiting 24 hours allows your skin time to settle and pores to close.

  • Apply body lotion daily
  • Exfoliate skin 2-3 times a week

These practices will help keep your skin soft, clean, and hydrated which promotes  and sustains healthy glowing skin! It also will prevent the development of ingrown hairs when the strands begin to grow back.
